Buying large numbers of tickets for events restricted

What has changed?

Do you work in the events industry? Many ticket sellers have set limits in their general terms and conditions on the number of tickets that can be sold to 1 person. It is prohibited for traders to circumvent these restrictions by using special computer programmes.

This way traders can no longer buy a lot of tickets at once using such computer programmes, and resell these tickets, often at a higher price, to consumers.

The 'Implementation law on the Consumer Protection Modernisation Directive' has come into effect on 28 May 2022.
