What changes?

Are you an entrepreneur and do you hire flex workers? When the new law takes effect, flex workers will gain active and passive voting rights after 18 months.

A flex worker builds up employee participation rights from 15 months onward. This used to be 24 months. After 3 months, flex workers will also get active and passive voting rights. This means that flex workers are more involved in the employee participation of your organisation.

When?

It is not yet known when this new legislation will come into effect.

Please note: The effective date of this measure is not yet known. Entry into force is subject to its passing through the upper and lower houses of parliament or proclamation of the Order in Council (Algemene Maatregel van Bestuur, AMvB) or ministerial decree and publication in the Staatsblad or Staatscourant (Government Gazette, in Dutch).
