What changes?

Do you own an electric delivery vehicle? Exemption of motor vehicle tax for electric delivery vehicles and hybrid plug-ins will remain in place until 2025.

Higher taxes for petrol and diesel

Do you use a vehicle that runs on petrol and diesel for your company? Then you will pay more vehicle tax in the coming years. From 2021, the motor vehicle tax will be raised with around €24 a year per car. The raise depends on the weight of your car.

Entrepreneurs using delivery vehicles

When?

The change is expected to come into effect on 1 January 2021.

Please note: The effective date of this measure is not yet final. Entry into force is subject to its passing through the upper and lower houses of parliament or proclamation of the Order in Council (Algemene Maatregel van Bestuur, AMvB) or ministerial decree and publication in the Staatsblad or the StaatscourantExternal link (in Dutch).
