What changes?

It will become easier to start a business abroad. New European regulations for the establishment of single-member private limited liability companies abroad make this possible.

Regulations in EU Member States will be harmonised. There will be 1 European registration process. You will also be able to register online with a uniform template for articles of association. There will be minimum capital requirement

For whom?

  • small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)

When?

It is not yet known when this measure will come into force.

Please note: The effective date of this measure is not yet final. Entry into force is subject to its passing through the upper and lower houses of parliament or proclamation of the Order in Council (Algemene Maatregel van Bestuur, AMvB) or ministerial decree and publication in the Staatsblad or Staatscourant(in Dutch).
