Temporary subsidy scheme for historical sailing charters (bruine vloot)

Do you own a historic sailing ship you use for passenger shipping? And did you suffer a substantial turnover loss as a result of the corona measures? You may be eligible for the Temporary subsidy scheme for historical sailing charters (Tijdelijke subsidieregeling continuïteit bruine vloot).

When do you qualify?

  • you can prove the keel of the ship was laid no later than in 1971.
  • You use the ship for passenger shipping, and you are able to prove this.
  • You were registered in the Commercial Register of the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK) no later than 15 March 2020 with SBI code 5010, 5030, or 9103.
  • You have suffered at least 30% turnover loss as a result of the corona measures.

How to apply?

You can apply for this scheme to the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO, in Dutch) from 29 June 12:00 hours until 24 August 2021, 17:00 hours. You can use the Dutch-language tool (excel) to help you calculate your turnover. You can find it at the bottom of the application page: Rekentool Tijdelijke subsidieregeling continuïteit bruine vloot.
