Subsidy for training and placement of older unemployed persons (expired)

This information is provided by: Netherlands Enterprise Agency

If you are employing someone who was 50 or older on the first day they qualified for unemployment benefit, you can apply for a training subsidy for them. This is called a training voucher.

If you are an intermediary such as an employment or reintegration agency and have helped a job seeker aged 50 or older to find a job, you can apply for a placement fee.

How do you qualify?

  • The job seeker is aged 50 or older on the first day of qualifying for unemployment benefit.
  • The employee’s training will take up to 1 year, and leads to a recognised diploma or certificate.
  • You employ them for at least 3 months, in which they will work at least half the number of hours of their unemployment benefit (with a minimum of 12 hours).

How to apply?

You can only apply for a follow-up placement fee if you have previously received a first or second placement fee for this particular employee.
