PCB disposal

In the Netherlands, if you want to dispose of equipment containing PCBs in a commercial capacity, such as old transformers or capacitors, you are obliged to maintain a register that can be accessed by the competent supervising authority. In this register, you record:

• the quantity, origin and nature of the PCBs removed
• the origin and nature of the equipment that contained the removed PCBs
• the PCB content used in that equipment

Producer responsibility
