Flemish-Dutch Journalists Bursary

Experienced journalists can apply for a bursary to participate in a Dutch or Flemish exchange programme or investigative journalistic project.

As an experienced journalist you can apply for a bursary (in Dutch) to carry out a Dutch-Flemish investigative journalistic project or to take part in a Dutch-Flemish exchange programme. This gives you the opportunity to live and work across the border for 2 months.

When do you qualify?

  • You have three years experience.
  • The subject of your research is socially relevant to Flanders and/or the Netherlands.
  • It involves in-depth and original research.

How to apply?

You cannot apply for a bursary for an investigative journalism project (in Dutch) or a Dutch-Flemish exchange programme (in Dutch) at the moment. Applications closed on 15 February 2022.
