Partners for Water subsidy: Innovations for Water Safety and Water Security (PVW-IVWW)

Are you an international entrepreneur active in the water industry? And do you want to carry out a feasibility study or a pilot project that has to do with water safety and water security abroad? Then you can apply for the Partners for Water: Innovations for Water Safety and Water Security in urban deltas, delta cities and river basins subsidy (Waterveiligheid en Waterzekerheid buitenlandse delta's, deltasteden en stroomgebieden, PVW-IVWW).

When do you qualify?

You are a company, knowledge institute, or NGO and you want to conduct a feasibility study or a pilot project on 1 of these themes:

  • drinking water
  • sanitation
  • water quality and water availability
  • climate adaptation, drought and flood risks, river basin management, resilient cities
  • biodiversity and water related ecosystems
  • food production and sustainable agriculture
  • water infrastructure, sustainable waterways, and ports resilient to climate changes

You have to demonstrate that you meet the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

You have to complete a pilot project in 2 years. For a feasibility study you have 1 year. You must have a defined target group in the country you apply for. You can carry out your project in nearly all countries, except for conflict countries or fragile states (category B, in Dutch).

How to apply?

The Partners for Water subsidy programme runs from 2022 until 2027. There are six subsidy application rounds. The next round is open from 19 January 2024, 12:00 hours until 16 February 2023, 12:00 hours. To apply for a subsidy, you must first apply for an online intake interview before 12 January 2024.
