SME-voucher for intellectual property rights

Are you an SME business owner and do you want to protect your intellectual property? Then you can make use of SME vouchers from the (EUIPO) European Intellectual Property Office’s SME Fund 2023. These vouchers will refund part of your application costs.

There are vouchers for various intellectual property (IP) rights:

  • trademarks and designs
  • patents
  • plant variety (plant breeder's rights)

You can apply for 1 SME voucher of each type. Read more about the scheme on the website of the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP).

Who can apply?

You can apply for the SME voucher if you are an SME according to the European Commission's definition. This means:

  • You have less than 250 employees.
  • Your annual turnover is less than €50 million.
  • Your balance total does not exceed €43 million.

How to apply?

You can apply for an SME voucher from 23 January to 8 December 2023 at EUIPO. Use the step-by-step plan to apply on the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP) website.
