Do you produce renewable energy or do you use techniques that reduce CO2? You can apply for a subsidy through the Sustainable Energy Transition subsidy scheme (Stimulering Duurzame Energietransitie, SDE++). This is a subsidy for a period of 12 or 15 years.
The following energy techniques are eligible for SDE++:
- renewable energy
- renewable heating (cogeneration or CHP)
- renewable gas
- low-carbon heat
- low-carbon production
Corona: extension for completion of SDE+ projects
The 2020 spring tender round was the last time the SDE+ subsidy has been awarded in its current form. Projects that were supposed to be completed in 2020 but cannot be completed because of the corona crisis, can get an extension of 1 year. The extension will only be granted to projects guaranteed to be completed within the extra year. You can apply for this extension at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO, in Dutch). You need to send an email with your SDE project number to email@example.com, explaining why your project cannot be completed in time and clearly stating that your project can be finished within the extra year.
When do you qualify?
You may be eligible for this subsidy if you are the intended producer: your company will realise and operate a production facility. You may have to conduct a feasibility study. You must meet the conditions. There are different requirements for different categories.
How to apply?
You can apply for the SDE++ subsidy from 24 November 2020, 9:00 until 17 December 2020, 17:00 hours through mijn.rvo.nl. You can then also find more information on the application procedure with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.
