Childcare organisations must keep attendance records

What changes?

Do you have a childcare organisation? Childcare organisations will have to keep overviews of deployed professionals and attendance records of children for 6 weeks. This obligation applies to daycare and out-of-school care.

With these lists the childcare organisation can demonstrate the childcare centre meets the requirements for the professional childcarer-child ratio, the three-hour rule, and the familiar-face criterion.

When?

It is not yet known when this change in the Childcare Provisions Act Regulations (Regeling Wet Kinderopvang) will come into force.

You can give your opinion on this plan until 24 September 2023 (in Dutch).

Please note: The effective date of this measure is not yet final. Entry into force is subject to its passing through the upper and lower houses of parliament or proclamation of the Order in Council (Algemene Maatregel van Bestuur, AMvB) or ministerial decree and publication in the Staatsblad or Staatscourant (Government Gazette, in Dutch).
