Message Box and your privacy
To create a Message Box, you are required to give the name of your organisation, make up a Message Box name, and give one or more email addresses for notifications.
Are you located abroad, and do you create an 'Answers for Business' (Antwoord voor Bedrijven) user account? Then your telephone number and username will also be registered. This data is necessary for the Message Box to work. The Message Box cannot be created without this data.
Protection of your data
The data which you give is protected under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming, AVG, in Dutch). The legal basis for requesting this data falls under of the Services Act. Your data is stored by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland, RVO), which manages the Message Box. The Netherlands Enterprise Agency does not pass this data on to third parties. The name of your Message Box and the organisation name you give, are only known to the competent authorities to which you send a Message Box message and the competent authorities which need the data to process your request.
Terminating your Message Box
Your personal data will only be stored as long as you have a Message Box. Do you want to terminate your Message Box? You can send a message to e-overheidvoorbedrijven@rvo.nl. In this message you have to mention:
your Message Box name
the name of the contact person
the telephone numner
the e-mail address
When you terminate your Message Box, your personal data will be removed from the database. The name of the Message Box and the name of your organisation will only remain known to the competent authorities you contacted via the Message Box.
Authorise another person
Would you like to have your Message Box managed by someone else (in Dutch)? If so, you must authorise that person via DigiD Machtigen (in Dutch). That person can then log in with their own details. You do not need to share your own login details.
