Do you have an environment and planning permit for environmentally harmful activities, and do you want to carry out an activity that is not covered by your permit? Then you must change the environment and planning permit via the Environment and Planning Portal (Omgevingsloket).

Find out more or arrange now

at your municipality, province, or water authority

In your existing environment and planning permit for environmentally harmful activities you can see the exact activities to which your permit applies. If you want to carry out an activity that is not included in your existing environment and planning permit, you must get the permit changed (in Dutch).

Go to the Environment and Planning Portal (Omgevingsloket, in Dutch) and choose what kind of activity you want to carry out. Then select the next option: bestaande activiteit (existing activity). Then click on: veranderen of uitbreiden van een activiteit waarvoor u al een vergunning heeft (change or expand an activity for which you already have a permit).

Did you get your permit several years ago? Then it may be the case that the environmentally harmful activity no longer requires a permit. Do the permit check (in Dutch) via the Environment and Planning Portal to check this. You may be able to simply report the changes with a notification. This may save you costs.

Please note: rules from the General Municipal By-Law (Algemene Plaatselijke Verordening, APV) and your municipality’s environment plan may also apply.
