There are costs associated with processing an application for an environmental permit, the so-called administrative costs. It depends on the activity for which you are applying for an environmental permit, what the costs are. If you want to perform multiple activities, the costs for the different activities are added together. For an exact calculation of the costs, we refer you to the tariff table (of the fee regulation under title 2). Below you will find an indication of the costs with a reference to the corresponding article number of the rate table.

In addition, the municipality charges fees for (external) advice. This includes the costs of a welfare advice, the assessment of a soil report or a statement of no objections. A declaration of no objections means that the municipality must ask another administrative body (for example the province) whether they have no objection to the plan. The law stipulates when this must be done. Whether this advice is necessary with your application depends on the activity you are applying for and the plan itself.
The municipality needs 8 weeks (standard procedure) to assess your application. Sometimes this takes 26 weeks (extended procedure), for example if you want to do something that is not in the zoning plan. The municipality can extend the period once by 6 weeks.
You can view the list of permit applications and decisions here Gemeente Oldenzaal.
Do you want to object? In this case, the following rules apply.
- For a standard all-in-one permit for physical aspects (8 weeks), you can file an objection within 6 weeks of the decision being published. How to do this is stated in the published decisions.
- Does it concern an extended all-in-one permit for physical aspects (26 weeks)? Then it is issued a a draft decision. You can submit your opinion within 6 weeks. After that, a final decision will be made.. You can appeal to the district court within 6 weeks.
Good to know
You must not start work until you have obtained the permit. If you start before that, you may have to undo the work at your own expense.
