Check if you need an environment and planning permit and apply

Go to the online service counter Omgevingsloket (in Dutch) to check if you need an environment and planning permit (omgevingsvergunning). In the Omgevingsloket you can see which rules apply in your municipality. You can then use the Omgevingsloket to apply online for an environment and planning permit or submit a notification.

Environmental management notification

You must submit the environmental management notification online via the AIM (in Dutch).

All-in-one permit for physical aspects (environmental permit)

If you start, change, or expand a business, you must apply for an environmental permit from the Online environment portal:

1.    Go to the online service counter Omgevingsloket online (in Dutch)2.    Log in with DigiD (for individuals) or eHerkenning (for businesses).

The fee you have to pay depends on the type of permit you apply for. Please note that you also have to pay the fee if your application is rejected. For more information contact the municipality Altena.

The municipality will need 8 weeks (standard procedure) to assess your application. Sometimes it can take 26 weeks (extended procedure), for example if you want to deviate from the zoning plan. The municipality can extend the period once by 6 weeks.

If your application has been rejected, you can submit an objection to your municipality. You can find more informatie here: www.gemeentealtena.nl/bezwaar.

Has your application been approved? Then others have the right to object to the municipality’s decision. The municipality announces permit applications and decisions at: www.officielebekendmakingen.nl. .
