Municipality Heerde: Environment and planning permit for environmentally harmful activities
Do you want to start or renovate a business? Or are your company’s activities changing? Then you may have to submit an environmental notification or apply for an environmental permit for an environmentally harmful activity.
An environmentally harmful activity is an activity that can have adverse consequences for the environment. Consider discharging wastewater into the sewer or into the soil. Before you get started, check whether you need to report or apply for a permit for your activity. You can do this at the Omgevingsloket.

A notification is free of charge. The costs of a permit depend on which permit you apply for. Check the regulation for the rates (in Dutch) for your application.
If you receive a notification, you can start your business activity after 4 weeks.
For an environmental permit, the processing period for an application is a maximum of 8 weeks. For complex applications, the processing period is a maximum of 6 months. Both treatment periods can be extended once by 6 weeks. After receiving your application, you will be notified in writing about the deadline.
With a regular application, you can object to the municipality’s decision within 6 weeks. In the case of a complex application, you can file an appeal with the court within 6 weeks. This is only possible if you have also submitted an opinion on the draft decision.
