Environmental management notification and all-in-one permit for physical aspects (environmental permit)

If you start, change, or expand a business, you must apply for an environmental permit from the Online environment portal:

1.    Go to the online service counter Omgevingsloket online (in Dutch)
2.    Log in with DigiD (for individuals) or eHerkenning (for businesses).

The costs depend on which permit you apply for. You must pay even if you do not get the permit.

The municipality needs 8 weeks (standard procedure) to assess your application. The municipality can extend the period once by 6 weeks. Sometimes there isan extended procedure, for example if you want to do something that is not in the environmental plan.

Do you want to object? In this case, the following rules apply.

• For a standard all-in-one permit for physical aspects (8 weeks), you can file an objection within 6 weeks of the decision being published. How to do this is stated in the published decisions.
• Does it concern an extended all-in-one permit for physical aspects? Then it is issued a a draft decision. You can submit your opinion within 6 weeks. After that, a final decision will be made.. You can appeal to the district court within 6 weeks.

Good to know

You must not start work until you have obtained the permit. If you start before that, you may have to undo the work at your own expense.
