Environmental management notification
Are you running a type B business? If so, it is necessary to report your business activities to the municipality. You can do this with an environmental management notification by using the Activities Decree on-line module (Activiteitenbesluit Internet Module, AIM).
You are required to submit the notification at least 4 weeks before starting, changing, or expanding your business.
Environmental permit
Are you running a type C business? In this case you need to apply for an environmental permit.
You are required to submit the notification at least 4 weeks before starting, changing, or expanding your business.

Environmental permit
If you start, change, or expand a business, it is necessary to apply for an environmental permit from the Service Counter:
- Log on with DigiD (for yourself), log on with eHerkenning if you are a company.

The municipality requires 26 weeks to assess your application (extended procedure). The municipality may extend the deadline once by 6 weeks. The notification must be done at least 4 weeks before you start using the building.

Submitting an opinion
If it is a comprehensive all-in-one permit for physical aspects (26 weeks), it is a draft planning decision. You can submit an opinion within 6 weeks. After that, a final decision will be made. You have six weeks to appeal to the court. Please send your letter to:

Good to know
You may only start after you have been granted the permit. If you start earlier, you may need to undo the work at your own expense.
