You need permission if you want to organize an event that is open to the public. If you want to organize a big event, you need a permit. Examples of major events are a fair, concert, parade or competition.

You only need to report a small event if it meets the conditions as indicated below. If your event does not meet these conditions, you can apply for an event permit.

Evenement
  • No more than 500 people will come.
  • The event does not impede traffic and emergency services.
  • The event lasts a maximum of one day. And takes place on:
    • Monday to Thursday between 9:00 and 23:00
    • Friday or Saturday between 9:00 and 24:00
  • The activity is not commercial and there is no profit motive. No alcohol is provided.
  • At an outdoor event, the amplified music may produce a maximum sound level of 70 dB(A) and 83 dB(C).
  • You report the event 20 days in advance to the municipality.

Reporting an event is free.

The rate is for:

  • a small-scale event for which a traffic measure is necessary: ​​€ 21,00.
  • all other events requiring a permit: € 117,00.

You must submit an application eight weeks before the start of the event, for major events this period is twelve weeks. The municipality will decide on your application for your event within eight weeks of receipt. The municipality may extend this term once.
