Municipality Hoogeveen: Fire safety measures for a building
Buildings must meet fire safety regulations.
In some cases, you must notify the municipality that you are going to use the building; this is called a notification of fire safety-compliant use (gebruiksmelding brandveilig gebruik) .
You must apply for an all-in-one permit for physical aspects (omgevingsvergunning) for fire safety-compliant use.
You can find out if you need to make a notification or apply for a full permit by running the permit check on the online service counter Omgevingsloket online (in Dutch).
Applying or submitting a notification
- Run a permit check to see if you need a permit or if you must submit a notification.
- If you need a permit, you can apply for it at once online on the online service counter Omgevingsloket or send in a written application. Log in with DigiD (for individuals) or eHerkenning (for businesses).
- If you have to submit a notification, you can do so at once via the online service counter Omgevingsloket. Log in with DigiD (for individuals).
An all-in-one permit for physical aspects is a tailor’s job; it is specifically geared to your situation. The costs are among others dependent on the nature of the activities you are requesting a permit for and construction costs.
Applying for fire safety-regulations is an elaborate procedure. The municipality will inform you of their decision within 26 weeks.
