Buildings must meet fire safety regulations.
In some cases, you must notify the municipality that you are going to use the building; this is called a notification of fire safety-compliant use (gebruiksmelding brandveilig gebruik) .
You can find out if you need to make a notification by running the permit check on the online service counter Omgevingsloket (in Dutch).
Applying or submitting a notification
- Run a permit check to see if you must submit a notification.
- If you have to submit a notification, you can do so at once at the online service counter Omgevingsloket. Log in with DigiD (for individuals) or eHerkenning (for businesses).
