Municipality Midden-Delfland: Fire safety measures for a building
Buildings must meet fire safety regulations.
In some cases, you must notify the municipality that you are going to use the building; this is called a notification of fire safety-compliant use (gebruiksmelding brandveilig gebruik) .
You must apply for an all-in-one permit for physical aspects (omgevingsvergunning) for fire safety-compliant use.
You can find out if you need to make a notification by running the permit check on the online service counter Omgevingsloket online (in Dutch).
Applying or submitting a notification
- Run a permit check to see if you need a permit or if you must submit a notification.
- If you need a permit, you can apply for it at once online on the online service counter Omgevingsloket or send in a written application. Log in with DigiD (for individuals) or eHerkenning (for businesses).
- If you have to submit a notification, you can do so at once via the online service counter Omgevingsloket. Log in with DigiD (for individuals) or eHerkenning (for businesses).
A notification is free. The fees for the permit are indexed annually and can be found in the fee table of the Fee Regulation. The cost depends on which all-in-one permit for physical aspects you apply for. You must pay even if your application is rejected.
The municipality needs 8 weeks (standard procedure) to assess your application. In some cases it can take 26 weeks (extended procedure), for example if you want to deviate from the zoning plan. The municipality may extend the period once by 6 weeks.
