Municipality Apeldoorn: Permit for gaming machines and amusement arcades
If you want to operate a gaming machine hall, you need to apply for an operating licence. A presence permit is also required for gaming machines. It is currently not possible to apply for an operating licence for a gaming machine hall. The maximum number of licences (5) issued by the municipality has been reached. Therefore, you cannot apply for a permit. As soon as this is possible again, it will be reported and published on this page.
The applicant, administrator and manager must meet morality requirements.
The applicant, the manager and the manager must be in possession of the 'GGZ Dutch Certificate of Addiction for Amusement Machine Centres'.
The amusement arcade is only accessible to the public directly from the public road.
The operators are 21 years of age or older.
The operation of the amusement arcade is not contrary to the zoning plan, urban renewal plan or environmental ordinance.
You do not serve drinks to visitors in the amusement arcade. However, you may install 1 cold machine for soft drinks and 1 hot machine for coffee and tea.
The operating licence for a gaming machine hall is both personal and address-specific and is therefore not transferable.
The mayor decides on the application within 8 weeks. The decision can be postponed once for a period of up to 8 weeks.

A maximum of thirty-five gaming machines may be present in the amusement arcade. The permit for a gaming machine hall is valid for a maximum of 3 years.
