A slot machine is a machine that allows you to win money, such as a fruit machine. This is not possible with an agility machine. Think of a pinball machine or video games. If you want to place a slot machine in your business, you need an attendance permit. You can apply for this permit from the municipality. You do not need a presence permit for a skill machine

If you want to place a slot machine in your catering business, the following additional rules apply: You have a valid operating license for your catering business. You have a valid liquor and catering license or your catering company is registered in the HorecaDNA register. Only catering activities take place in your catering business.

  • You apply for an attendance permit from the municipality.
  • If you also own the slot machine, you can also apply for an operating license via the municipality at the same time.
  • In your application, you should in any case state: how many slot machines you want to place in your business; the name and address of your business; the name and address of the slot machine owner.
  •  Always notify the municipality if anything changes. For example, with a different owner of the machine or if you want to place more or fewer machines in your business.
  • Within eight weeks you will receive a message from the municipality whether you will receive the permit
