Municipality Gouda: Permit for gaming machines and amusement arcades

If you want to install a gaming machine, you need a gaming machine permit. You can only apply for a gaming machine permit if you have a high-treshold establishment. An establishment is high-treshold if:

• the location is used as a café or restaurant
• you have a valid alcohol and catering licence for this location
• the activities are suitable for persons aged 18 and over

To apply for a gaming machine permit, you also need a valid alcohol and catering licence. 

Good to know

• The gaming machine permit is valid for 1 or 2 years. You can indicate during the application if you would like to have a permit for 1 or 2 years. You must make sure to renew your gaming machine permit on time.
• The permit is personal: you are the only person who may use it.
