Municipality Heemskerk: Permit for gaming machines and amusement arcades

In high-threshold establishments*, 2 gaming machines are allowed.No gaming machines are allowed in low-threshold establishments**.*A high-threshold establishment is a catering establishment with a valid alcohol license:

Where the café and restaurant visit is self-contained and where no other activities take place, to which independent significance can be attributed andwhose activities are significantly aimed at persons aged 18 and older.**A low-threshold establishment is a catering establishment with a valid alcohol license that is not a high-threshold establishment.

For the application, you will need:

• A drawing of the rooms/rooms in the establishment (the entire building).

On the drawing you must indicate:

1. Which rooms will be used as catering premises;
2. Where the gaming machines will be located;
3. if applicable: where amusement machines and/or game equipment will be located.

You pay fees for applying for a slot machine license. Visit the website of the municipality for more information.

The processing of an application for a slot machine license takes 8 weeks. The municipality may extend this period 1 time.

If you disagree with the decision, you can write a letter to the mayor. We call this a notice of objection. You must send this notice of objection within 6 weeks of the date at the top of the decision. The notice of objection should at least include:

• Your name, address and telephone number;
• The date you wrote the notice of objection;
• A description of the decision you disagree with. You can also enclose a copy of the decision;
• The reasons for your objection;
• Your signature.
