Groundwater extraction and infiltration with a permit
If you need a permit for your groundwater extraction or infiltration activities, you must keep records of the amount of water you extract or infiltrate (registratieplicht, in Dutch). For infiltration you also have to measure and report the water quality. You must send your registration to the competent authority each year. It depends on the location of your activities whether this is the regional water authority, provincial authority, or the national authority (Rijkswaterstaat).
Groundwater extraction and infiltration without a permit
If you do not need a permit for your activities, you may still have a duty to inform (informatieplicht, in Dutch). If the duty to inform applies to your groundwater activities, you must inform the competent authorities about your activities beforehand.
