You must apply to the municipality for an alcoholwetvergunning (alcohol licence).
- Your manager (who must be at least 21 years old) must also have a Daclaration of Social Hygiene.
- You and your manager must meet the probity rules (this will be checked via the Bibob procedure).
- You and your manager must be of good character. For example, you must not have a criminal record. This will be verified by a background check.
- You must not be under guardianship or have been removed from parental authority or custody.
- Your catering business must fit the municipality’s zoning plan.
You have the following options to apply for an alcohol licence:
Download the application form, fill it in and send it to: info@nieuwkoop.nl or the Municipality of Nieuwkoop, PO Box 1, 2460 AA, Ter Aar.
You pay a fee for this service. For more information, contact the municipality.
The licence has no expiry date, so this is a one-off payment. You will only have to pay an additional fee if you make changes, such as adding another manager to the licence.
An application for an alcohol and licence takes 8 weeks. The municipality may extend this period once.
