Municipality Lelystad: Applying for an event licence
Event, neighborhood party, open day, or closing of the sports season? If you are organizing something, you need to know whether or not you require a permit. Please note that processing a permit takes at least 8 weeks, and for major events even 4 months. Ensure you submit your application on time!
For a small event, a notification is sufficient. A notification must be submitted at least eight working days prior to the event. A small event is defined as a one- or two-day event where:
- the number of attendees per day does not exceed 500 persons;
- the event takes place between 09:00 and 00:00;
- no music is played before 09:00 or after 23:00, or within this timeframe the maximum permissible noise level of 75 dB(A) measured at the facade of the nearest noise-sensitive buildings;
- the event does not take place on a carriageway of a main road, a (moped) cycle path, or otherwise constitute an obstruction to traffic and emergency services;
- only small objects are placed with a surface area of less than 25 m2 per object;
- and there is an identifiable organizer.
art of an application for an A-event is a script/safety plan in which you can provide detailed information about the event. You can also indicate in the script/safety plan how you will handle any emergencies during the event. You should also include the persons responsible for, for example, security and first aid in this document. To make it easier for you, we have a format script/safety plan that you can use.
You must also submit a floor plan of the event.

You pay a fee for this service. For more information, contact the municipality.
You will be notified within 8 to 12 weeks. The municipality may extend this notice period once.
If you disagree with a municipal decision, you can file an objection. This is a letter explaining why you disagree. The municipality will review the decision and may decide differently.
