If you wish to organise an event, you must notify the municipality and, in some cases, apply for a permit. You can check this online using the permit check (vergunningscheck).

For many small events, you do not need a permit. In such cases, you can provide notification of the event free of charge.

Permit check

Carry out the permit check (in Dutch).

Depending on the outcome of the permit check, you either report the event or apply for a permit.

The amount that you have to pay depends on the type of event that you are organising.

You will be notified within 8 to 10 weeks. The municipality may extend this notice period once.
