Professional indemnity insurance
Professional liability insurance (Beroepsaansprakelijksheidsverzekering, BAV) covers you if you are held liable for a mistake in your work. For example, if you give incorrect advice or make a mistake in a design, your client may suffer financial loss as a result.
For whom is professional indemnity insurance useful?
Professional liability insurance is particularly useful if you provide advice or if the progress of large projects depends on your input. Professional liability insurance is also useful if you are self-employed.
