SME Energy-Saving Loan

Do you want to save energy in your business, but cannot get financing? You may qualify for the SME Energy-Saving Loan (MKB Energiebesparingslening, in Dutch). You can borrow €10,000 to €250,000 per location, without collateral. You have up to 7 years to repay the loan. The interest rate is 6.9% per year and stays the same for the full term.

When do you qualify?

The SME Energy-Saving Loan is for SMEs in the Netherlands. Businesses on Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba can also apply.

You may qualify if you meet these and other conditions:

  • Your business uses at least 10,000 kWh of electricity or 5,000 m3 of natural gas or the equivalent per year.
  • Your business is based in the Netherlands and carries out a large part of its work there.
  • You invest in measures that are on the list of measures for the SME Energy-Saving Loan (in Dutch).
  • You can provide your 2 most recent financial statements.

First complete the RVO Quickscan (in Dutch) to see if you may qualify.

You can apply from 1 October 2026 until 11 December 2026 to the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO, in Dutch).
