The Golden Pyramid State Prize

Every two years, the Dutch government awards the Golden Pyramid (Rijksprijs Gouden Piramide) prize for architecture.

Once every two years, the Dutch government awards the Golden Pyramid (Gouden Piramide, in Dutch) to an 'inspiring commissioning party' in architecture, landscape or interior architecture, spatial planning, or infrastructure. The Golden Pyramid award consists of a monetary prize and a statue.

When do you qualify?

Any architectural, urban development or landscape design project can file an application. A project does not necessarily have to be a new project. Originators of repurposing projects, renovations, or temporary projects can also apply.

How to apply

You cannot apply for the Golden Pyramid at the moment. You could apply for the 2022 edition until (and including) 7 February 2022, 17:00 hours. Nominees are announced in April (in Dutch), the winner will be announced on 13 October 2022.
