Subsidy Programme for Responsible Business (SPVO)
Do you want to improve the social sustainability of your company by countering risks in your international value chain? If so, you can apply for a subsidy from the Subsidy Programme for Responsible Business (Subsidieprogramma Verantwoord Ondernemen, SPVO), previously Social Sustainability Fund (SSF).
You can use subsidy from the SPVO, for instance, to improve wages and working conditions, and to combat child labour at your local producers and suppliers. You can also use this subsidy to focus on greening of local production, as long as your greening measures also contribute to the social themes mentioned above. For example, you will use natural resources more efficiently, preserve biodiversity, or improve the well-being of local communities.
When do you qualify?
You can apply for an SPVO subsidy if:
- You have not previously received an SVPO or SSF subsidy.
- Your company has a branch or a permanent establishment in the Netherlands.
- You work together with at least 1 local company and 1 NGO with sufficient knowledge of the local context in 1 or more eligible countries.
- You use the subsidy to improve working conditions, provide liveable wages, improve incomes, to combat child labour, or for greening of local production in combination with 1 of the other themes.
View all conditions for the SPVO at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland, RVO).
