Ban on cigarette vending machines in hospitality sector

What changes?

Do you own or run a bar or restaurant? Hospitality venues are no longer allowed to have cigarette vending machines. You must remove or disable these machines.Selling tobacco products from behind the bar is already prohibited under the Alcohol act.

  • entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector

When?

This change in the Dutch Tobacco Act will enter into force on 1 January 2022.
