Faster integration possible for entrepreneurs

What has changed?
Do you work as an independent entrepreneur and are you required to comply with civic integration obligations? You no longer have to take the exam ‘Orientation on the Dutch labour market’ (Oriëntatie op de Nederlandse arbeidsmarkt, ONA).
To receive the exemption for ONA the following conditions aply:
- The moment you apply for the exemption, your company was registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) for at least 6 months in the past year.
- The minimum income you earned (business profits) during these 6 months is at least €2,791,44
For whom?
- self-employed professionals who are required to fulfil the integration obligation
When?
The change in the civic integration decree has come into force on 1 October 2020.
