What changes?

Do you work as lawyer providing subsidised legal aid in the Netherlands? You will receive a higher fee for your work.

The legal aid system will also be renewed. Commercial lawyers will be expected to deliver a larger (financial) compensation. The system will be changed to offer better legal protection for people who have problems.

For whom?

  • social lawyers (lawyers who provide subsidised legal aid)
  • commercial lawyers

When?

It is not yet known when this change will come into effect.
