Municipality Helmond: Applying for a market permit
Do you want to have a stand on the market as an entrepreneur? You need a permit from the municipality to do so. You apply for the permit below using the written application form.
In Helmond, markets are held at 3 locations:
Centrum, on Saturdays temporarily until 3 p.m.Mierlo-Hout, on Tuesday morningsBrouwhuis, on Friday mornings

This is how to apply for a permit for a market stall:
- You contact the municipality using the application form.
- Among other things, you provide:
- a recent proof of registration with the Chamber of Commerce (Trade Register)
- your valid identity document
- whether you want a one-off or permanent stand location
- What you will be selling
The market manager will check whether space is available and whether you qualify for the permit. You can also be placed on a waiting list. Helmond has an application procedure for market stalls. You can request more information about this from the market manager using the contact details below.

The cost of a market stand consists of:
- number of m² taken up
- market promotion
- stand rental from stand supplier (compulsory)
- any electricity consumption
The market manager will communicate the total costs once the application has been processed.
The municipality will decide within 8 weeks of receiving your application. The municipality may extend this period once.
You can object to the decision on your application. Do this within 6 weeks. Do you then disagree with the decision on the objection? Then file an appeal with the court.
