If you want a one-time or permanent market stall, you need a permit. The municipality will check whether space is available and whether you are eligible for the permit. You may be placed on a waiting list.

There are two weekly markets in Oosterhout:

  • Wednesday from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM at the Zuiderhout shopping center.
  • Saturday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Markt in the city center.

How to apply for a market stall permit:

You contact the municipality.

You will need to provide, among other things:

  • a recent proof of registration with the Chamber of Commerce (Trade Register)
  • your valid identification document
  • whether you want a one-time or permanent market stall
  • what you plan to sell

You pay a fee for this service. You must also pay market tax (marktgeld) for the use of municipal land (precario). For more information, contact the municipality.

You will get a response to your application within 8 weeks. The council may extend this period once.
