The requirement of an event permit depends on, among other things, the size of your event. That is why you must first complete a risk scan. If your event falls into category A, B or C, you must apply for an event permit. You usually do not need an event permit for small events such as a street party or neighbourhood barbecue.

Apply for an event permit with DigiD or eHerkenning (in Dutch)

If you do not have DigiD or eHerkenning, you can call the municipality for an appointment: +31 297 38 75 75.

If you have any questions, please write to: apv@aalsmeer.nl.

Risk scan

By completing the risk scan (Excel, in Dutch), you will know which category your event falls into:

  • Small event (Category 0)
  • Regular event (Category A)
  • Attention event (Category B)
  • Risk event (Category C)

Regional events calendar

Will there be more than 2,000 people attending at the peak of your event or is your event risky? Then you must report this event online to the regional events calendar (in Dutch).

Incidental festivity notification

For one-off, small events within your (catering) business or (sports) association where you will be making more noise than normal, you must submit an incidental festivity notification

Alcohol exemption

If you want to serve alcoholic beverages (less than 15% alcohol) during your event, you can apply for an alcohol exemption in the same form.

Exemption Sunday Act

If you are organising an event on a Sunday before 13:00, you need an exemption from the Sunday Act.

Martial arts event

If you are organising a martial arts event, you need a permit that has been tested against the Bibob Act.

Noise standards The noise standard for your event depends on the location. The noise standards are laid down in Aalsmeer’s events policy (in Dutch).

  • Completed risk scan (Excel, in Dutch).
  • A Safety Plan with a description of how you guarantee the safety and health of visitors and accessibility during the event.
  • A Traffic Plan with details and locations of traffic signs and closures (if your event has an impact on traffic).
  • Map of the event site showing the location and layout to scale, including a legend.
  • Drawings and measurements of temporary structures, such as tents, stands or stages.
  • Programme overview.

You pay costs when applying for an event permit. Please see the municipality’s website for more information.

You will be notified within 8 to 10 weeks. The municipality may extend this notice period once.
