For some small events, you do not need a permit. In such cases, you can provide notification of the event free of charge.

For larger events, you must apply for a permit at least 12 weeks in advance. For smaller events, apply at least 8 weeks in advance.

You do not need a permit if your event meets the conditions below:

  • a maximum of 100 visitors
  • the event lasts a maximum of 1 day
  • the event takes place
    • on Monday to Saturday between 7 am and 11 pm or
    • on Sunday between 1 pm and 11 pm
  • you will only use small objects on the location (less than 10 m2 per object)
  • the organiser has notified the municipality at least 7 working days prior to the event
  • the event does not take place:
    • outside the built-up area: on the public road, or
    • in built-up areas: on public roads with an important function for traffic or emergency services

How much you pay depends on the type of event you are organising. An event permit costs a minimum of € 218, a maximum of € 1.359. Additional costs for using the public area are € 87,29.

A minor change costs € 46.
