If you want to organize an event, you need a permit from the municipality. This applies, for example, to a fair, fair, parade or festival. For small events, such as a street party or a neighborhood barbecue, reporting to the municipality is often enough.

Notification or permit

A notification will suffice if:

  • the number of attendees does not exceed 150 persons;
  • the event takes place between 09:00 and 23:00;
  • no music is played before 07:00 or after 23:00;
  • the event does not take place on the roadway, (moped) cycle path or parking lot or otherwise forms an obstacle to traffic and the emergency services;
  • only small objects are placed with an area of less than 10 m2 per object;
  • there is an organizer;
  • the organizer has notified the mayor at least ten working days prior to the event.

Municipal support

The municipality can provide hand and span services at events. It is also possible to use crowd barriers and traffic signs from the municipality.

Contact the municipality to notify your event.

Request an event permit

Request the permit for an event from the municipality at least 8 weeks in advance.

Small event notification

Report a small event to the municipality about 5 working days in advance.

Term

The municipality will make a decision within 8 weeks of receiving your application. The municipality may extend this term once.

You can object to the decision on your application. Do this within 6 weeks. Do you subsequently disagree with the decision on the notice of objection? Then file an appeal with the court.
