If you wish to organise an event, you must notify the municipality and, in some cases, apply for a permit.

If you are organizing an event that can be attended by the public, please report this or apply for an event permit. You must apply for an event permit at least 8 weeks in advance. You must report a (small) event at least 6 weeks in advance.

When do you report a (small) event?

You must report if your (small) event meets the following conditions:

The number of attendees is a maximum of 200 people.The event will not last longer than 1 day.The event takes place between 07:00 and 23:00.No music will be played before 7:00 AM or after 11:00 PM.The event does not take place on the roadway, (moped) cycle path, parking lot or does not form an obstacle to traffic and emergency services in any other way.Only small objects with a maximum surface area of ​​20 m2 per object are placed.There is an organizer.The organizer notified the mayor at least 15 working days before the event.The Events Policy Rule is complied with.

When do you apply for an event permit?

You need a permit if you do not meet the above conditions.

You pay costs for the application for an event permit. You can find this in the Fee Regulation via: Verordeningen en lokale regels | Gemeente Heemskerk

You will be notified within 8 weeks.

If you do not agree with the decision, you can write a letter to the mayor. We call this a notice of objection. You must send this notice of objection within 6 weeks of the date stated at the top of the decision. In any case, state in the notice of objection:

-your name, address and telephone number;-the date on which you write the notice of objection;-a description of the decision with which you do not agree. You can also enclose a copy of the decision;-the reasons why you object;-your signature.

Send the notice of objection to PO Box 1, 1960 AA Heemskerk.
