In our villages, various events are organized every year. Think of a fair, parade, party, music performance, but also a memorial ceremony or a race on the road such as a cycling tour.

Anyone, resident or organization, can organize an event. The General Local Ordinance (APV) of the municipality contains the rules for events. Under the APV, depending on the characteristics of the event, you must report the event or apply for an event permit.

Subject to notificationAn event is subject to notification if it meets all of the following conditions:

The number of people present does not exceed 250 people.The event takes place on a day between 09:00 and 24:00.No music may be played before 09:00 or after 23:00.The event may not take place on the roadway, (moped) cycle path or parking lot or otherwise, insofar as this is an obstacle to the traffic of the emergency services.Only small objects may be placed with an area of up to 18 m2 per object, with 1 storey and a maximum height of 3 meters.There is an organizer who serves as a point of contact for supervisors and personnel of the emergency services.No fireworks may be set off.No event may take place in the vicinity.Subject to authorisationIf your event does not meet the above conditions, you must apply for an event permit.

Description A-, B-, C-, 0- eventA: low-risk event, where there is a limited impact on the environment and/or limited impact on traffic and also requires a small additional capacity of the emergency services. Submitting the application: no later than 8 weeks before the start of the event.B: event with an increased risk, where there is an increased impact on the environment and/or consequences for traffic and additional capacity of the emergency services is also required. Submission of the application: no later than 12 weeks before the start of the event.C: high-risk event, where there is a major impact on the environment/region and/or traffic and also requires extra capacity of the emergency services. Submitting the application: no later than 20 weeks before the start of the event.The notification of a category 0 event (event notification) must be reported no later than 14 days before the start of the event.

You will be notified within 8 to 10 weeks. The municipality may extend this notice period once.
