Municipality Losser: Applying for an event licence
If you wish to organise an event, you must notify the municipality and, in some cases, apply for a permit. You can check this online using the permit check (Dutch).
For many small events, you do not need a permit. In such cases, you can provide notification of the event free of charge.
Website gemeente LosserLarge events with more than 2,000 visitors must be reported 12 weeks in advance. Smaller events must be reported 2 to 8 weeks in advance.
- You can suffice with a notification if your event meets the following conditions:
- There are fewer than 250 visitors at the busiest time.
- The event does not take place in the center of Losser.
- The event takes place between 09:00 and 23:00 and lasts a maximum of 2 days.
- There is no noise nuisance. This means that no amplified music may be played.
- The event does not hinder through traffic and emergency services.
- Only small objects are placed with a surface of < 25m2 per object.
- No through and/or traffic diversion routes will be closed. Only 30-km streets may be closed.
You do need a permit in the following situations:
- It’s a big party. For example a festival, commemoration, show or flea market.
- More than 250 visitors can come.
- The event takes place in several places at the same time.
- The event is on or next to the public road.
- You must close the street for the event.
- Emergency services such as police and ambulances could be affected by the event. For example, by closing a street.
- You expect noise pollution.
- There is music after 10pm on Sunday through Thursday. And on Friday and Saturday after 11 p.m.
- You place large objects, such as tents, inflatables, bars, toilets.

The amount that you have to pay depends on the type of event that you are organising.
You will be notified within 8 to 10 weeks. The municipality may extend this notice period once.
