Municipality Moerdijk: Applying for an event licence
If you wish to organise an event, you must notify the municipality and, in some cases, apply for a permit. You can check this online using the permit check (vergunningscheck).
For many small events, you do not need a permit. In such cases, you can provide notification of the event free of charge.
Your event will be classified as a 0, A, B or C event. This classification determines whether you must apply for a permit or whether a notification is sufficient. Explanation categories . You must apply for a permit for A, B and C events.
An a-event has a relatively low risk and a limited impact on the environment. The consequences for traffic are also limited. Think of a performance, a performance on a shopping square with music, a fair or a walking tour.
A b or c event has a higher risk and the consequences are therefore greater. For example, think of:
- Many visitors (more than 2000)
- Risk groups (young people/young adults)
- Large-scale closures
- High-risk activities (car races, cycle races)
For such events, careful prior consultation with the municipality, police and fire brigade is necessary.
The category into which your event is classified determines the term by which your application must be submitted. Please note, you make your own assessment, but the municipality ultimately decides under which risk category you fall. In order not to run the risk of submitting your notification or permit application too late, we advise you to do this as early as possible, so that you are always on time!
