If you wish to organise an event, you must notify the municipality and, in some cases, apply for a permit. You can check this online using the permit check (vergunningscheck).

For many small events, you do not need a permit. In such cases, you can provide notification of the event free of charge.

The amount that you have to pay depends on the type of event that you are organising. [opnemen voorbeeldkosten, bijvoorbeeld varieert van gratis tot €16.000].

The rate for processing an application for a permit to organize an event as referred to in Article 2:25, first paragraph, of the General Local Regulation, if the number of expected visitors is:- less than 750: €147.25- 750 or more, but less than 2,500: € 515.24- 2,500 or more, whereby the permit is valid for no more than twelve days: €1,717.27- 2,500 or more, where the permit is valid for more than twelve days: € 4,955.31.

You will be notified within 8 to 10 weeks. The municipality may extend this notice period once.
