Municipality Rijssen-Holten: Applying for an event licence
If you wish to organise an event, you must notify the municipality and, in some cases, apply for a permit.
Do you want to organize an event in the municipality? Then there are 2 variants: permit-free or permit-required. For large events you need a permit from the municipality. A small event is often permit-free. You must apply for an event permit no later than 12 weeks before the event takes place.
Organize an eventLarge events with more than 2 000 visitors must be notified 16 weeks in advance. Smaller events must be notified 8 to 14 weeks in advance.
You do not need a permit in the following situations:
- The event lasts 1 day.
- A maximum of 250 people are present. For (flea) markets, fairs, walking and cycling activities, a maximum of 500 people applies at the same time.
- There is no music before 7am or after 11:30pm. You can request an exemption for amplified music .
- You do not close a road.
- If the event takes place in a building, the activities fit within the usage notification of that building.
- The objects that are placed are a maximum of 25 m2 in size.
- The free space between the objects is at least 2 meters.
- The access road to the event site is at least 3.5 meters wide and 4.2 meters high.
- You keep fire pits, hydrants and emergency exits clear.
- The participants of a walking or cycling activity do not deviate from existing roads and paths.
- Traffic wardens lead a procession.
- You have permission from the owner of the site on which you want to organize the event. If you use municipal land, additional points for attention apply . In addition, you can report your event to apv@rijssen-HOLTEN.nl .
- Materials are not attached to trees or other greenery.
- After the event, you ensure that the event site is left clean and tidy.
When a permit is required:
- the event is a large gathering, such as a festival, celebration, show or jumble sale.
- it may be attended by more than 250 people.
- the event may take place in several places at the same time.
- the event is on or next to a public road.
- the event makes it necessary to close a road.
- the event may disrupt the emergency services, such as the police or ambulances, for example due to a road closure.
- you expect noise nuisance.
- there will be music after 22.00 on a Sunday to Thursday, or after 23.00 on a Friday or Saturday.
- you are installing large objects such as tents, bouncy castles, bars or toilets.
- You want to camp during your event.
- Alcohol will be served
- If your event takes place on Sunday.
The municipality do not charge fees for an event permit. This also applies to other permits and exemptions that you need as part of the event.
You will be notified within 8 weeks. The municipality may extend this notice period once.
