Step-by-Step Plan QuickScan and AERIUS-calculation
Are you planning to organise an outdoor event? The QuickScan can determine if you need a nature permit or exemption. The QuickScan is part of a nature check and indicates whether there is a (potentially negative) effect on Natura 2000 areas and/or protected plant and animal species. Depending on the outcome, you need a permit and/or exemption.
In addition to the Quickscan, an AERIUS calculation must also be made (when you click on the link you will leave this website): this determines whether there is nitrogen deposition in nitrogen-sensitive nature. You can have both the Quickscan and the AERIUS calculation carried out by an ecological consultancy.
The costs of the check andapplying for a nature permito are for the f the organiser/initiator. If the check shows that no nature licence or exemption is needed, as a rule no application is submitted to us. It stops at a request for advice (prior consultations). This is free of charge.
In case of a permit application, the usual provincial charges apply. For more information go to the Costs page or contact us.
Many organisers of (larger) events start preparations a year prior to the event. We recommend that you also investigateon time whether it is necessary to apply for a nature licence or exemption. You can do so by having a nature check, Quickscan (part of the nature check) and/or AERIUS calculation carried out by an ecological consultancy. See frequently asked nitrogen questions about events and the Nature Conservation Act (Wnb).
